Tintura Collection
The Arc-Com Design Studio proudly presents The Tintura Collection—three coordinated patterns (Raya, Elevado, and Linea) inspired by the centuries-old art of Guatemalan backstrap weaving and dyeing. Practiced by Mayan women using a simple loom of 6–7 rods, this technique ties one end of the warp threads to a post and the other to the weaver’s waist, allowing body movement to create tension. The loom can be quickly rolled up and carried, reflecting a tradition that is both intimate and highly portable. Historically, vibrant hues were achieved with natural dyes from plants, fruits, and insects, producing the brilliant palette that inspired The Tintura Collection’s colors.
Woven from 100% polyester and tested to 100,000 double rubs, these patterns fuse ancient craft with modern performance. Raya’s bold stripe, Linea’s refined linear texture, and Elevado’s raised surface all come with a stain-resistant finish and backing. Shared color names make it easy to mix and match across The Tintura Collection, which adds a genuine, handcrafted feel to contemporary spaces. In a fast-paced digital age, The Tintura Collection offers a touch of authenticity—honoring a revered weaving legacy while meeting today’s contract standards.
