Heritage Collection
Arc-Com's Heritage Collection is inspired by Tiebele—a village in Burkina Faso where the Kassena people adorn their homes with intricate, symbolic murals. These geometric designs, crafted by local women using natural pigments and time-honored techniques, once protected homes and now inspire modern wallcoverings and panel installations.
Tiebele:
Inspired by its namesake town, Tiebele embodies the intricate, continuous geometry of labyrinthine walls and structures—unlike the isolated designs of Western homes. With an impressive 54-inch repeat, it creates a dramatic presence on large surfaces while revealing a uniquely random charm on smaller applications.
Burkina:
A refined, mid-scale reinterpretation of Tiebele’s bold geometry, Burkina introduces a playful twist with a tissue pick that adds an unexpected burst of color to its structured design.
Sukhala:
Featuring a modern, large-scale flame stitch, Sukhala draws on the elaborate diamond motifs of Tiebele’s iconic walls. Named after the traditional, vibrant windowless houses, it fuses contemporary style with rich cultural heritage.
Kassena:
Named for the indigenous people of Tiebele, Kassena mirrors the mid-scale, diamond-shaped patterns found on traditional exterior walls. Its balanced geometry pays homage to the 15th-century settlers of Burkina Faso, blending history with timeless design.
Nahouri:
Drawing inspiration from the south-central province of Burkina Faso, Nahouri presents a small-scale, linear composition defined by broken, irregular lines. Its dynamic texture works beautifully on its own or as part of a cohesive group.
